Key Words: Resisting. Will Power.

What is it about that ingredient called ‘forbidden’ that whets the appetite? We are often tempted. We indulge, even at a risk to our health, our relationship with others, and our general well-being.

Our ability to see through the illusion and resist the temptation is a measure of our personal will power, character, and strength.

To succumb or to resist will be a choice that defines us. As we understand our weaknesses and the reasons for them, they lose their power to control us.

It is at this point that the smiling devil simply becomes a man in a silly hat.

Treasured memories, diaries recording details of thoughts feelings and activities long past. Successes and failures, good times and bad, but all of value. Tender moments and childhood joys.

In this weekly tarot reading June 26, 2022 reading, I have used an Oracle Deck rather than the Tarot. When I went to reach for a Tarot deck this week, my Guides advised that, after all of the difficult weeks that we’ve had, we all would need some spiritual nourishment. They then told me to choose this particular deck, Oracle Of Visions by Ciro Marchetti.

I genuinely hope that this week’s reading gives you the hope and encouragement that you’re seeking.

Reading the cards Separately

As we mature, our identity is ini­tially concealed, not only to others, but also to ourselves. The Conclusions card is, in essence, about finding your true self. As time passes, you reach out to gather pieces of a puzzle, and with each one, find clues which enable you to discover more about yourself.

Our Approach card reveals that we will have to rely upon our willpower to help us get through the week. It suggests that you will need to make a conscious decision to stop allowing the memories of your past to govern your present and future relationships.

As we close our eyes and con­template treasured memories from the past, everyone releases to the world all the details of our thoughts and feelings, suc­cesses and failures, good times and bad.

Remembered moments fly about us as pages from our memories swirl around us like falling leaves. It reveals streams with images of loves lost but not forgotten.

What the Memories card, our challenge this week, shows you is that you are torturing yourself by reliving the, or living in the past. 

This challenge card captures tender moments and childhood joys. However, in this position, it means that you are not finding forgiveness of yourself or others and are not able to let go of the past.

Reading the cards together

It is time to face your past, process the emotions, claim forgiveness (as it is a choice), and let it go. I recommend using what I call, “The Journal Process”. It is much bigger, and about much more, than writing about your feelings in your diary.

As you evolve throughout your life, you will look back at certain times and remember the joys that you’ve had. Albeit, if that is true, then you will also remember the emotionally treacherous times.

What is it that you’re holding onto? Keeping it fresh in mind and reliving the moment – and the emotions – only hinders your current life and prevents you from becoming fulfilled in the future.

You could also be making a current person in your life pay for someone else’s mistakes.

The Outcome

Furthermore, it is time that you understand that you were meant to go through those good and bad times to learn very specific life lessons. Recognize that you have learned these lessons and the knowledge now serves you for your future endeavours.

You have now lived and learned. You have evolved yourself into the person you are today. Don’t you deserve credit for that? While thinking along those lines, doesn’t that also mean that someone else might have evolved and done the same?

If you choose to reach for acceptance and forgiveness of yourself or others, you will create yourself a wonderful new chapter of your life.

Who doesn’t want to live in peace? You can have it – if you wish. Will it take some emotional work? The answer is a resounding yes…

Now is the time to decide that you’re worth it.
